Smooth Sailing for the Big Game: Parking Arrangements for India vs. Bangladesh Cricket Match in Gahunje

Gahunje, 18th October 2023: With the highly anticipated India vs. Bangladesh cricket match set to take place on Thursday, October 19th, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) ground in Gahunje, local authorities are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a seamless and organized experience for the hordes of cricket fans expected to flock to the stadium.

In light of the anticipated large crowd, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have instituted measures to regulate parking around the stadium, providing clear guidelines for spectators. To ensure a smooth process, it’s imperative to understand that tickets will not be available for purchase at the stadium. Consequently, those without valid tickets are strongly discouraged from attempting to access the venue, with towing vans ready to remove any vehicles parked outside designated areas.

Bapu Bangar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Branch, appeals to all attendees to cooperate with the parking guidelines.

Parking arrangements for different categories of attendees are as follows:

Parking for VVIPs and VIPs with Vehicle Pass:

  • Those arriving from Mumbai should take the Dehu Road Exit to the Expressway Adjoining Service Road, leading to VVIP and VIP Parking adjacent to the stadium.
  • Those coming from Pune can follow either of the two routes:
    1. Turn left at the NH4 underpass via Pawana River Bridge to Kiwale Bridge, and proceed to VVIP and VIP parking via the expressway adjacent service road.
    2. Spectators using the hanging bridge should take a right at Bhondve Chowk, Krishna Hotel Chowk, proceed through the NH4 underpass, and take a left along the service road towards the Stadium Adjacent to VVIP and VIP Parking.

Parking for Spectators without Vehicle Pass:

  • Spectators coming from Mumbai should make a U-turn at Mukai Chowk and proceed to General Parking via the Service Road.
  • Those arriving from Pune can follow these directions: Turn left from Kiwale Bridge via Pavana River Bridge, then make a left on the service road and take another left on the Service Road near Symbiosis College to reach General Parking.

Parking for Two-wheelers: For those on two-wheelers, the route is straightforward: From Pune, proceed straight through Pavana Bridge, Mamurdi, and from Jakat Naka, turn left towards the bike parking.

These parking arrangements are meticulously designed to guarantee a hassle-free and enjoyable experience for cricket enthusiasts. All attendees are strongly encouraged to adhere to these guidelines to maintain a secure and organized environment during the India vs. Bangladesh cricket match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association ground in Gahunje.
