Shocking Assault On Woman Bus Conductor Unfolds In Pune

Pune: In a disturbing incident that unfolded on Wednesday, a female conductor of a PMPML bus fell victim to an unexpected attack by a father-son duo during their journey from Bopkhel Phata to Vadmukhwadi Road.

The accused, identified as 30-year-old Vikas Maruti Satpute, a resident of Moshi, and his juvenile son, allegedly attempted to snatch the ticket machine from the conductor, who bravely resisted their attempt. After that, the altercation escalated between them, leading to the duo physically assaulting the woman with a mobile phone.

The incident occurred while the PMPML bus, en route from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to Alandi, made a stop at Bopkhel Phata. Witnesses reported that Vikas Satpute and his son boarded the train at that stop and suddenly started forcefully targeting the ticket machine of the woman bus conductor, prompting the conductor’s resistance.

As chaos erupted within the bus, the driver intervened to remove the accused pair from the bus. However, shockingly, both father and son responded with verbal abuse and physically assaulted the bus driver.

The victim promptly filed a complaint at the Dighi Police Station against the juvenile and his father. The police have registered a case against both individuals, and further investigations are underway.
