Maharashtra CET Cell Witnesses Surge in Registrations for Professional Courses”
In a remarkable display of enthusiasm, over 1.1 million students from Maharashtra have registered online for the state common entrance test (CET) across 18 professional courses, signaling a growing trend of competitive education pursuits in the state.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell oversees the administration of CETs for a diverse range of graduate and postgraduate courses encompassing fields such as engineering, agriculture, pharmacology, and management. Among the registered candidates, a staggering 725,640 students have enrolled specifically for MHT-CET courses.
The CET Cell conducts a total of 20 CETs annually, catering to aspirants seeking admission to a multitude of professional programs. While the registration process for 18 CETs is currently underway, preparations for this endeavor commenced approximately one-and-a-half months ago.
Acknowledging the surge in registrations, Mahendra Varbhuvan, the state commissioner of Maharashtra State CET Cell, emphasized the growing awareness among students and parents regarding the significance of CETs for securing admissions in prestigious colleges. He highlighted that a commendable performance in the CET significantly enhances one’s prospects of securing admission in esteemed institutions, thereby driving the heightened interest among students.
Reflecting on the significance of the CET, aspiring engineering student Kiran Pisal expressed anticipation and dedication towards achieving success in the upcoming exam. Pisal’s sentiments echo those of countless other aspirants who recognize the pivotal role of CET scores in shaping their academic trajectories and securing coveted placements in renowned colleges.
