Railway Relief: Pune-Amravati Festival Special Train Extended to Accommodate Passenger Surge

In response to the heightened demand from passengers, the Central Railway has announced the extension of the periodicity of the festival special train running between Pune and Amravati. This decision aims to address the extra rush of travelers during the festival season, ensuring convenient transportation for all.

The Pune-Amravati Specials, initially scheduled as bi-weekly with eight services, have witnessed an extension in their operational period. Train number 01439, the Pune-Amravati Special initially set to run up to November 17, 2023, every Friday and Sunday, will now continue its services from November 19, 2023, to December 1, 2023, comprising an additional four trips.

Similarly, the Amravati-Pune Special (train number 01440), originally intended to run until November 18, 2023, on every Saturday and Monday, will see an extension from November 20, 2023, to December 2, 2023, encompassing an additional four trips.

It’s noteworthy that there will be no alterations to the days of operation, timings, composition, or halts for these extended services. Passengers can book reservations for the extended trips of the special train (No. 01439/01440) on special charges, with bookings already open at all computerized reservation centers and on the official website http://www.irctc.co.in.
