Pune, Maharashtra – Manaswi Abhay Kele, a 22-year-old entrepreneur from Pune, was bestowed with the prestigious ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ award at the 16th National Convention of The National Real Estate Development Council (NARDECO). The award ceremony took place at Taj Palace, New Delhi, with cricket legend Kapil Dev presenting the honor to Kele.

The event was graced by eminent personalities such as Jay Morzaria, President of NAREDCO NextGen, Hari Babu, President of NAREDCO, Ravi Reddy, President Elect of NARDECO NextGen, and other dignitaries who acknowledged and celebrated Kele’s remarkable achievements.

Kele commenced her entrepreneurial journey at a young age by founding ‘MyHostelRoom’ under the banner of Kyozon Hostels Pvt. Ltd. The startup focuses on providing premium accommodations to students in and around Pune. In a short span, ‘MyHostelRoom’ has expanded its operations to manage six hostels in Pune, offering a total capacity of 400 beds. Kele has ambitious plans for the future, aiming to scale up to accommodate 2,000 beds by the academic year 2024.

Expressing her gratitude for the prestigious recognition, Kele emphasized the collective effort of her team at ‘MyHostelRoom.’ She stated, “Though I represented the company while receiving the award, each credit for the efforts behind running ‘MyHostelRoom’ goes to my team.”

Reflecting on the real estate scenario in Pune, Kele underscored the need for a heightened focus on upgrading the student housing segment. She pointed out, “Pune’s residential housing has progressed sufficiently in the last 10-15 years. However, there is still a lack of quality accommodation for students.” With numerous top universities introducing new courses annually, Kele stressed the importance of addressing the accommodation challenges faced by students migrating to Pune for education.
