In a commendable display of social responsibility, V K Group, a Pune-based multi-disciplinary consultancy firm, organized a blood donation camp through their NGO, Sustainability Initiatives Trust. The event, held in collaboration with Deenanath Mangeshkar Blood Bank, took place at the VK Group Office on Senapati Bapat Road, Pune, on January 31, 2024.
A total of 115 employees participated in the blood donation drive, expressing their willingness to contribute. After thorough screenings, 102 employees were found eligible and successfully completed their blood donation during this day camp. The active participation of employees from Strudcom Consultancy added to the success of the initiative.
Distinguished guests Sachin Vyavhare and Dr. Ashwini Joshi from Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, along with Rupa Bandal from Deenanath Mangeshkar Blood Bank, graced the occasion. Notable figures from VK Group, including senior Architect Vishwas Kulkarni, Architect Hrishikesh Kulkarni, Apoorva Kulkarni, and Architect Anagha Paranjape Purohit, were present. Additionally, Nikhil Inamdar from Strudcom Consultancy, Amol Umberje from Sustainability Initiatives, and Barish Date of Graphics Beyond actively participated in the blood donation drive.
This initiative holds special significance for VK Group as it marks its 50th year, demonstrating a continuous commitment to social responsibility. Last year, 66 employees contributed to a similar blood donation drive, solidifying it as an annual tradition for VK Group. The firm remains dedicated to organizing such camps every year as part of its ongoing social outreach efforts.
