Pune’s Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway Horror: Multi-Vehicle Crash Claims Youth’s Life

In a heart-wrenching incident on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway, a fully-loaded cement truck plowed into multiple vehicles near Navale Bridge, leading to the untimely demise of a 34-year-old motorcyclist.

The horrifying collision unfolded around 10 am on the road connecting Katraj to Navale Bridge Chowk. The cement truck, bearing the registration number K. A. 56-3165, collided with both four-wheelers and two-wheelers, including a Maharashtra government vehicle, at a signal close to Navale Bridge. The vehicles caught up in the calamity included Ertiga MH 12-JU-3565, Ertiga MH 02-DS-6496, Swift MH 12-QT-6762, Nexon MH 12-UN-3004, and a two-wheeler, TVS Raider – MH 12-UB-0787.

Tragically, the motorcyclist, identified as Sandesh Banda Khedekar, aged 34 and a resident of Tilekar Nagar, near ISKCON Temple, Katraj – Kondhwa Road, lost his life at the accident site. The collision inflicted significant damage upon all the vehicles involved.

Remarkably, despite the severity of the accident, no other injuries were reported among the individuals present at the scene. The injured received prompt medical attention, while the deceased was identified as Sandesh Banda Khedekar.

The truck driver, hailing from Karnataka, has been taken into custody by the authorities.
