Pune’s Cultural Kaleidoscope: Shobha Yatra Unites Communities in Celebration of Prabhu Shri Ram Mandir

In a vibrant celebration of the dedication ceremony of Prabhu Shri Ram Mandir, Pune witnessed the grandeur of the Shobha Yatra organized by the Shri Ram Group in collaboration with 18 Groups of Kasba Peth. The All-Religious Grand Shobha Yatra showcased harmony and unity as citizens from various communities, including Punjabi, Bengali, Malayalis, Odia, Rajasthani, Gujarati, and more, actively participated in the colourful parade, highlighting their unique cultural artistry.

The procession, commencing at Sonya Maruti Chowk, weaved through the city streets, concluding at Phadke Haud. Adorned with vibrant representations of Lord Ramchandra, Sita Mata, Shri Lakshmana, and Lord Hanuman, the parade captivated onlookers and aimed to celebrate the city’s diversity.

Post the Shobha Yatra, a formal Shri Ram Pooja took place, and the live telecast of the Shri Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya was presented to the gathered crowd. The symbolic distribution of sugar from a decorated elephant added a traditional touch to the festivities, enhancing the cultural experience.

Political figures, including Hemant Rasane of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sunil Deodhar, former National Secretary of BJP, Ganesh Nalavde of Nationalist Congress Party (Pawar Group), and Nilesh Raut of Shiv Sena (UBT Group), participated in the procession, highlighting the support for this cultural celebration.

The success of the Shobha Yatra is credited to the dedicated efforts of the Shri Ram Group, led by Arvind Kothari, Pushkar Tuljapurkar, Kaushik Kothari, and the committed office bearers and workers of the organizing board.
