Pune’s Budding Tennis Stars Shine with Upsets at PMDTA Ranking Presidency Junior Tour

In a thrilling turn of events at the PMDTA Ranking Presidency Junior Tour Bronze Series Tennis Tournament, organized by the Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) with the support of KPIT and Solinco, a slew of upsets has taken center stage. The tournament unfolds at the prestigious Presidency’s Fedal Tennis Academy courts, showcasing the incredible talents of young tennis prodigies.

The boys under 10 category witnessed an impressive display of underdog triumphs, with no less than eight upsets in the second round. Arinjay Bang, displaying remarkable skill, upset fifth-seeded Aditya Upadhye with a score of 5-3. Harsh Katkar, another emerging talent, sent shockwaves through the competition by defeating fourth-seeded Samar Sidhu with a score of 5-2. Meanwhile, Reyaansh Jagtap’s resilience shone brightly as he ousted ninth-seeded Ayaann Jamenis with a nail-biting score of 5-4(5), securing his place in the last 16 stage.
