Pune: On Friday, a 40-year-old woman living in Karve nagar filed a complaint against a young man at Warje Police Station for allegedly sending pornographic images and videos to her. Similarly, another woman also mirrored her conduct, lodging another complaint against the same person for sending obscene text messages to her.
In this case, a police complaint was filed against Akash Sunil Shahane, a resident of Kasba Peth, Pune, under IPC 354, 354/A/1, 504, and the IT Act at Warje Malwadi Police Station.
The accused youngster is the son of the plaintiff’s female friend. A few days back, the accused took the numbers of his mother’s female friends from her phone and sent pornographic content and obscene messages to them. When the plaintiff confronted the youngster for this act, the accused astonishingly abused the plaintiff and attempted to molest her.
The woman further complained that the accused also harassed her by repeatedly calling. In a separate incident, the same youngster has been charged by another woman for the same misconduct of sending obscene messages to her. Police have registered a complaint against the accused, and senior police inspector Sunil Jaitapurkar is now conducting further investigation into it.
