PUNE: A woman was molested by a man after being abused in Wadgaon Sheri area. When she was going home, occupants of a car and three persons who were riding a two-wheeler, stopped her car, threatened to kill her and molested her. The incident took place on a public road between Wadgaon Sheri and Kalyani Nagar on August 19 at 4.30 pm.
A 34-year-old woman, residing at Wanawadi, has lodged a complaint at the Yerawada police station. Based on the woman’s complaint, an FIR has been registered against Madhavrao Narhare (60), a resident of Wadgaon Sheri, two unidentified people in a car and a person riding a two-wheeler (MH12 NK 3049) under sections 354, 354 A, 341, 323, 504, 506, 34 of the IPC.
According to the police, the victim had gone to Wadgaon Sheri with her daughter. At that time, Madhavrao Narhare abused her and molested her. Later, the woman was going to her Wanawadi residence with her daughter in a car. At that time, two unidentified persons stopped their car in front of the woman’s car on the public road opposite Bishop School at Kalyani Nagar. They abused the driver of the woman’s car.
The unidentified person riding a two-wheeler threatened her that she will be killed if she doesn’t take back her complaint. He abused the woman and pulled her hair and forced her to come out of the car and molested her. When the car’s driver tried to help her, he was assaulted, the complaint states. Woman PSI Gaikwad is carrying out further probe.
