Pune: Wall of Honour for Construction Workers

Pune, 14th August 2023: The construction industry thrives on the dedication and hard work of its labourers, who often remain the unsung heroes behind the magnificent structures that define our cities. Recognizing the pivotal role played by these workers, Pune-based Suroj Buildcon is set to launch a groundbreaking initiative called the ‘Wall of Honour’ on the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day.

The ‘Wall of Honour’ is a unique concept that will be introduced at every construction site managed by Suroj Buildcon. This initiative aims to immortalize the efforts of every labourer who contributes to a project by inscribing their names on a designated wall. By doing so, Suroj Buildcon seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the tireless efforts of these labourers who indirectly contribute to India’s growth and development.

The idea behind the initiative is to pay tribute to the hardworking labour force that forms the backbone of the construction industry. These labourers play an integral role in shaping India’s infrastructure, making it a fitting tribute to honor them on the occasion of India’s Independence Day. Suroj Buildcon plans to extend this initiative to all its projects across the country.

Sachin Biyani, Managing Director of Suroj Buildcon, expressed his thoughts on the initiative, saying, “Suroj Buildcon has always appreciated the dedication of every individual who contributes to our projects. We are proud to honor the contributions of our labourers, who play a significant role in strengthening India’s infrastructure. The ‘Wall of Honour’ is our way of immortalizing their hard work and ensuring that their efforts are remembered forever.”

The company is currently engaged in the construction of over 20 projects, primarily industrial factory buildings, in various states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Haryana, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. The names of more than 4000 construction workers will be inscribed on the ‘Wall of Honour’ at their respective construction sites.

To further celebrate the achievements of these labourers, a film has been created that narrates their journey and highlights their invaluable contributions. Often overlooked, these labourers put their heart and soul into bringing someone else’s vision to life. The film captures their sense of pride and joy upon witnessing the ‘Wall of Honour’ bearing their names.

The ‘Wall of Honour’ initiative, conceptualized by Velocita Brand Consultants, transcends being just a campaign; it is a movement that aims to inspire the industry to recognize and acknowledge the true heroes behind successful construction projects. Suroj Buildcon’s initiative is a heartfelt tribute to the labourers who work tirelessly to build the future of our nation.
