Pune: Violent Confrontation Erupts at ELCON Industries in Pisoli as Locals Clash with Workers

Pune: In a shocking incident on Sunday afternoon, a group of 10 to 15 individuals allegedly molested a woman and assaulted two others who were removing steel roofing sheets from the premises of ELCON Industries Company in Pisoli. In this case, the 39-year-old woman, residing on B.T. Kavade Road, lodged a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the unidentified assailants under IPC sections 354A, 504, 506, 352, 447, 143, 147, and 148.

The victims, identified as Jayantilal Oswal and Shubham Oswal, were reportedly utilising a crane to dismantle the steel roofing sheets when the accused group arrived at the scene without permission. Verbal altercations ensued, with the attackers allegedly verbally abusing Jayantilal and obstructing the removal of the materials. The situation escalated as the assailants physically assaulted the complainant woman, pushing and mistreating her and further issuing threats.

According to the prosecution, Shubham Oswal bore the brunt of the violence, facing physical harm and intimidation. Further, attackers obstructed their activities, asserting their local status and questioning the legitimacy of their business activities in the area. Attackers said, “We are local residents of here. “With whose permission, you are doing business here.”

The police are conducting further investigation into it.
