Pune: The construction of a pedestrian subway in Kasba Peth is set to bring changes to the traffic flow in the area. The subway will connect Sattoti police post to the Budhwar Peth metro station, providing pedestrians with a safe and convenient passage.

To facilitate the construction work, temporary traffic restrictions have been imposed between Pavle Chowk and Kamla Nehru Chowk (Agarwal Road). This means that three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply on this stretch. Motorists traveling from Pawle Chowk to Kamla Nehru Hospital via Aggarwal Road are advised to take an alternate route. They should use Punyashwar Road via Kumbharves Chowk, Kasba Peth Zonal Office, and Baburao Awhad Path to reach their desired destination.

Similarly, those traveling from Kamla Nehru Hospital Chowk to Pavle Chowk should make a left turn at Kamla Nehru Chowk and take Maharana Pratap Road to Devjibaba Chowk, Ganesh Road, and their destination. Alternatively, they can turn right at Kamla Nehru Chowk, pass through Baburao Awad Path, Kasba Peth Zonal Office, and Kumbharves Veer Santaji Ghorpade Road to reach their intended location.

These temporary traffic diversions are necessary to ensure the smooth progress of the pedestrian subway construction. Commuters are advised to familiarize themselves with the alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly.
