Pune: Vendor beaten by a gang over Ganesh Idol price in Hadapsar area

Pune: A Ganesh Idol vendor was beaten and his stall was vandalised by a gang of six including two minors over the price of Ganesh Idol in Hadapsar area. A case has been registered against six persons including two minors in this matter.

In this matter, Mangaram Tikaramji Bawari (65) a resident of Hadapsar near SM Joshi college has filed a complaint in Hadapsar police station. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Rohan Shivraj Gujar (18), Prasad Narayan Pata (18), Suraj Venkatasukhaya Devvareddy (20), Kirti Pillay (19) and two minors. This incident took place at a stall near SM Joshi College in Hadapsar Malwadi at 8:30 pm on Sunday night.

According to the information provided by the police, the complainant Bawari has set up a stall selling Ganesh idols near SM Joshi College.The accused came to buy the idol. They argued with the complainant over the price of the idol. Bawari was abused and beaten by hands and the stall was vandalised. Assistant police inspector Chetan Thorbole is investigating the case.
