Pune Traffic Branch Takes Proactive Measures with New No Parking Rules to Alleviate Congestion

In a bid to enhance road safety and alleviate traffic congestion, the Pune city traffic branch has introduced new No Parking orders, taking into consideration public suggestions and concerns regarding existing rules. These decisions aim to regulate parking in specific areas, ensuring smoother traffic movement.

As per the issued orders:

  1. Bharti Vidyapeeth Area:
    • Restriction: No parking within 400 meters on both sides of the road from Over Bridge to Dari Bridge, near BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on Mumbai Bangalore National Highway 48.
  2. Chaturshringi Area:
    • Restriction: No parking within 10 meters on both sides of the road near Sahakari Griha Rachana entrance.
  3. Warje Area:
    • Restriction: No parking for any vehicles within 100 meters between Krishna Plaza and Basaveshwar Tea House, including areas near MSEDCL transformer station and Kelkar Upahargruh.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police clarified that emergency vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, or ambulances will not be impacted by these rules. The primary objective of these regulations is to enhance overall traffic management and reduce congestion in crucial parts of the city.
