Pune : The local crime investigation branch, Pune Rural succeeded in arresting three accused who forcefully stole the mobile from a man when he was keeping his mobile phone in his pants pocket due to rain.
As per the initial investigation the victim was standing on the side of the road in Alekhind of Nashik-Pune Highway in front of Fountain Hotel and he was placing his mobile in the pants due to rain and at that time a white Omni car came at that place and two people got down from it and the third one took away the mobile forcefully from the victim.
As one of the accused was forcibly dragging the victim’s motorcycle he went to the Fountain Hotel and started shouting for help, but the other two took the mobile phone and ran away in their Omni Car towards Pune side.
Avinash Shilimkar, senior police inspector, Local Crime Investigation Branch, Pune Rural said, ” We were investigating the case and also the team of the local crime branch was conducting a parallel investigation of the crime on the basis of technical analysis and we received the information from the sources. When we got the information that Prashant Annasaheb Jadhav (23) a resident of Savargaon Pat, Akole in Ahmednagar along with his accomplices was involved in the crime. We detained him from Narayangaon and interrogated him. During interrogation he confessed to the crime and said that he along with his other accomplices named as Sachin Pawar and Shivtej Nere both the residents of Savargaon Pat were the part of the crime. We have arrested Pawar and Nere from Alephata. We have seized a mobile of RealMe 7 PRO brand which they have stolen and a white Omni Car of Maruti Suzuki with number plate MH-15-GF-7288 which they used for the crime. We are further investigating the case.”
The said action by the Pune police was taken under the guidance of Ankit Goyal (Pune Rural Superintendent of Police), Mitesh Ghatte (Upper Police Superintendent) and by Avinash Shilimkar (Senior Police Inspector, Local Crime Branch), Yashwant Nalawade (Police Inspector Alephata Police Station), Sunil Badgujar (Assistant Police Inspector), Abhijit Sawant (Sub-Inspector), Deepak Sable Raju Momin, Sandeep Vare, Akshay Nawle and Nilesh Supekar.
