Pune: Stranglehold of Pawar family over Bhor, Velhe and Mulshi talukas can be broken, says MNS leader Vasant More

PUNE: MNS leader and Organiser of Baramati LS constituency Vasant More said MP Supriya Sule got only 19,000 votes in the last LS poll from Bhor, Velha and Mulshi talukas despite most of local bodies being controlled by Congress and NCP and despite the local MLA being a Congressman. “Hence, how can it be said that Bhor, Velhe and Mulshi are the strongholds of Pawar family? It will not take long to break the stranglehold of that family over these areas,” said Vasant More.

A meeting had been organised at Vinjhar of office-bearers and activists of MNS. “Velhe taluka, despite being located close to Pune city, has not developed much. Forts like Rajgad and Torna are also located there but our taluka is known for its backwardness. Don’t fall prey to fake promises made by politicians,” More said.

“Local representatives could not even construct a 30 km road here. Promises made during the elections are false and the people should not be carried away,” More said. He also instructed party activists to prepare for forthcoming polls. Local representatives expressed their views. MNS office-bearers and activists were present in large numbers.

More had expressed his despite to contest the LS bypoll. He had claimed that he would contest the LS poll if he is given a ticket and emerge successful.
“Considering the situation at present, the chances of Lok Sabha elections being held are more. If Raj Thackeray gives orders, I will contest from the Pune LS constituency,” More had said.
