Pune Road Rage Victim Awaits Justice as Investigation Delays Persist

Shivajinagar, July 10, 2023: Prakash Singh Bisht, a resident of Pune, is still waiting for justice after being involved in a road rage incident at the Deccan bus stop. Despite reporting the incident and filing an official complaint, he has yet to receive any updates from the Pune City Police, causing frustration and concern.

The incident occurred around 1.20 PM when Bisht was riding his bike towards Kothrud. A confrontation took place between Bisht and another biker due to heavy traffic, resulting in a heated exchange of words. Fortunately, no physical damage occurred to either vehicle or the riders.

However, the situation escalated when the other biker abruptly stopped his bike in the middle of the busy road and physically assaulted Bisht. The attacker used derogatory language, targeting Bisht as an outsider.

Recognizing the severity of the situation, Bisht parked his bike on the side of the road and sought assistance by dialing the emergency helpline number, Dial 100. He also noticed the presence of traffic police nearby and called out to them for help. Surprisingly, the traffic police directed him to visit the Deccan Police station for further assistance.

Bisht, along with the assailant, went to the Deccan police station to report the incident. However, the police officers instructed Bisht to visit the Balgandharva Police Chowki to register a Non-Cognizable (N.C.) complaint. During this process, the assailant managed to escape from the police station.

Undeterred, Bisht visited the Balgandharva police chowki and officially filed his complaint. However, despite taking these necessary steps and cooperating with the authorities, Bisht has not received any updates from the Pune City Police even after more than 24 hours.

The lack of progress and communication from the police has left Bisht concerned about the status of his case and the overall delay in the investigation. As a victim of road rage, he expects a prompt and efficient response from the authorities to ensure justice is served.

Bisht hopes that the Pune City Police will prioritize his case and take necessary actions to apprehend the assailant and bring him to justice. Additionally, he urges the police to provide regular updates and maintain effective communication to ensure transparency and build trust with the victims of such incidents.
