Pune: Indian society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Pune Chapter organized National seminar -REFCON, at PYC Gymkhana, Deccan, Pune on ‘Sustainable Cold Chain with Safety & Energy Efficiency’. The program was attended by 100+ dignitaries from cold chain industry. Seminar was highly informative and provided valuable insights into the world of Cold Chain.
Nandkishor Kotkar, President of ISHRAE Pune Chapter welcomed guests.Mr.Kotkar also shared the Chapter’s achievements & promoted the upcoming Cold chain exhibition – REFCOLD. Later Founder president, Mr.Arvind Surange highlighted the uniqueness & purpose of REFCON seminar .Also, he & Mr.Harshal Surange from leading Cold Chain consultants, M/s ACR Consultants were felicitated for being awarded the prestigious AHRAE-UNEP Award for “Innovative & Sustainable Design of Cold Chain”.
The Key note address was delivered by Abasaheb (Abhijeet) Kale, a distinguished guest from Sahyadari Farms and their Chief Sustainability Officer. He delivered an engaging presentation on the “Sustainability aspects in Cold Chain”.Furthermore, Gajanan Kalyane, the Director FoodCognics, shared his insights on “Integrated cold chain solutions”. Later, AK Singh, the Dy. Director of National Horticulture Board Pune, enlightened the audience with valuable information about “Govt schemes to Support Cold chain Industry”.
The Program was followed by an ISHRAE Distinguished Lecture by Jitendra Bhambure – Advisor Blue Star & CEEW. He delivered the ISHRAE DL on “Sustainable Refrigerants For Cold Chain”.
