Pune police registered case against sim card seller for selling 71 sim cards on fake Aadhar card

Pune: The Pune police have registered a case against a sim card seller who sold as many as 71 sim cards with fake Aadhaar cards. The accused has been identified as Rakesh a resident of Hadapsar. This incident took place at AM Enterprises in Kharadi between February 1 and March 31, 2020.

According to the police, “The Vodafone- Idea Company has its office at Sharda Center on Karve Road. The complainant is working on the post of Regulatory Affairs in the company. Rakesh is the SIM card seller of the company. While selling SIM cards provided to him, he was found to have sold 71 SIM cards with fake Aadhaar cards and the reason the company has filed a case against him.”

Police Sub-Inspector Rewle is investigating the case.
