Pune: PMC demolishes illegal constructions in Yewalewadi

Pune : The Building Development Department zone 2 carried out action against three illegal structures in the hill top hill slope zone at survey number 30 in Yewalewadi area. Illegal construction of 38,000 sq foot in the form of 24 godowns spread over 3,000 sq foot was demolished.

Action was also taken against an illegal 2,000 sq foot tin shed located on the Yewalewadi main road. Two JCBs, gas cutters and nine daily wagers of the Anti-Encroachment Department were involved in taking the action. The action was taken under the supervision of Superintending Engineer Yuvraj Deshmukh by Executive Engineer Hemant More, Deputy Engineer Rajesh Khade, Deputy Engineer Vijay Kumawat, Building Inspector Umesh Godge, Vikram Kshirsagar, Surekha Bansode. To prevent any untoward incident, PSI Nivrutti Zanjre of the Anti-Encroachment Department and a team of police personnel had been deployed at the site.

Rajesh Khade, Deputy Engineer, Building Development Department zone 2 said, “Before purchasing any plot or any shop, the buyers should check whether PMC has given all permissions. They should not buy houses in illegal structures. No one should carry out illegal construction and in the future, such action will be regularly taken against illegal constructions.”
