Pune Metro’s Connectivity Boost: Pedestrian Bridge to JM Road in Final Stage

Pune, India – The Pune Metro has reached the final stage of constructing a vital pedestrian bridge connecting Chhatrapati Sambhaji Garden metro station to Jungli Maharaj Road (JM Road). The upcoming bridge, a key infrastructure project on the Aqua Line, is set to enhance connectivity and convenience for metro passengers, with plans to open to the public in the near future.

According to information shared on the Pune Metro’s official X handle, “The work of the pedestrian bridge connecting Chhatrapati Sambhaji Udyan Metro Station to Jungli Maharaj Road on the Aqua Line is in the final stage and will be put into service for metro passengers soon.”

The completion of this pedestrian bridge is expected to provide a seamless and safe pathway for commuters traveling between the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Garden metro station and JM Road, offering an elevated and efficient alternative to ground-level crossings.

In a bid to further enhance passenger service, Pune Metro had earlier announced measures to reduce the time taken by trains to arrive at metro stations during peak hours, ensuring a more expedited and streamlined experience for commuters.

As the Pune Metro continues to expand and improve its services, recent demands from commuters regarding cleanliness and maintenance at metro stations have been acknowledged. The administration is actively working to address these concerns, aiming to create a cleaner and more pleasant environment for passengers.

With the imminent opening of the pedestrian bridge, the Pune Metro takes a significant stride toward fostering better connectivity and accessibility, contributing to the overall development of the metro infrastructure in the city.
