Pune Metro has taken a stern stance against ticketless travel, announcing a fine of ₹85 for passengers caught without a valid ticket. The information was shared through Pune Metro’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, emphasizing the implementation of penalties to ensure compliance with updated regulations.

Under the revised guidelines, commuters are required to commence their journey within 20 minutes of purchasing a ticket from the starting station. Failure to adhere to this time limit will result in a fine of ₹10 per hour, with a maximum penalty capped at ₹50.
