Pune: Man Assaulted In Vishrantwadi Area After Disguising In Burqa To Meet Girlfriend

Pune Crime News

Pune: In a recent incident that transpired in the Indira Nagar area of Vishrantwadi, a man faced severe repercussions after attempting to meet his girlfriend by disguising himself in a burqa. The local police have registered a case against the accused, Vijay Amrut Waghari, who has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

The episode unfolds with Vijay, who was in a relationship with a minor girl studying in the 10th grade at a school located in the Adarsh Indiranagar area. The couple had been meeting each other secretly. However, when their family learned about their relationship, they strictly forbade both of them from meeting each other.

The prohibition, understandably, took a bad toll on Vijay, who was deeply distraught by his inability to meet with his girlfriend. In a desperate bid to meet her, he attempted various plans, but none of them could ever succeed. Frustrated by his thwarted efforts, Vijay ultimately decided to go to her school while donning a burqa to meet her.

Unfortunately for him, his plan took an unexpected turn. Vijay’s actions were misconstrued by citizens living nearby the school premises. They mistakenly believed him to be a member of a child abduction gang, prompting them to apprehend him and subsequently subject him to a severe beating. After the incident, the local authorities were alerted, and Vijay was handed over to the police for further investigation.
