Pune: Inebriated Accused Killed Person for Alleged Collision While Binge-Drinking Alcohol; Police Solved Case Within Eight Hours

Pune: Due to the anger of another person who collided with him, a 21-year-old person killed the person by pummelling him in the head with a heavy stone. This incident took place on Saturday morning at the vegetable market in Katraj. In this case, the Katraj Chowki Police immediately apprehended the accused within a record-breaking eight hours.

The deceased person is identified as Manohar Bagal. In this regard, the son of Manohar Bagal, Mahadev Manohar Bagal, a resident of Shivshambho Nagar, Katraj Kondhwa Road, Pune, filed a complaint at Bharati Police Station on Saturday. Accordingly, police apprehended the 21-year-old accused, Kisan Chhagan Margale, a resident of Sainagar, Galli No. 3, Ambegaon Budruk, and registered him under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

On Saturday morning, police found the dead body of Manohar Bagal on the road leading to Santoshnagar in Katraj. They found that Bagal was murdered by hitting his head with a hard object. Immediately, police initiated the investigation, checking the CCTV footage of the area.

Meanwhile, Police Constables Harshal Shinde, Sachin Gade, and Dhanaji Dhotre got information that the accused, Kisan Margale, is hiding in the Taljai plateau forest. After that, the police dispatched one of their teams and detained the accused.

During the interrogation, the accused confessed his involvement in the killing of Manohar Bagal. He informed that due to a collision between him and Bagal while drinking alcohol, he killed Bagal by striking him repeatedly with stones in his head. He also said that he had done this while in an intoxicated state.

The accused is currently arrested at Katraj Police Chowki.
