Person with Parkinson’s Got Talent’ Showcases Vibrant Celebrations and Informative Sessions
Pune’s medical community came together on World Parkinson’s Day to host a special event aimed at raising awareness about the disease and celebrating the talents of those affected. KEM Hospital, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (DMH), and B K Parekh Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society (BKP -PDMDS) collaborated to organize the event, which witnessed significant participation from patients, doctors, and caregivers.
Themed as ‘Person with Parkinson’s Got Talent- Celebrating Colours of India,’ the program showcased a diverse array of performances and exhibits. Patients, along with their caregivers, showcased their talents through dance and singing performances that highlighted various festivals from different states. Additionally, an exhibition of arts and crafts, including Warli painting and floral embroidery, provided a platform for individuals with Parkinson’s to express their creativity.
