Pune City Police Launches ‘Arogyavati Bhava’ Initiative to Foster Women’s Health Awareness

Pune, August 26, 2023: At the heart of every family’s resilience stands a woman, whose bustling routine is intertwined with numerous familial responsibilities. Amid her unending commitments, she often neglects her own well-being.

In a dedicated effort to cultivate self-awareness among women, the Pune City Police Commissionerate has introduced an initiative titled “Arogyavati Bhava.”

Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, in collaboration with Ruby Hall Clinic, meticulously organized medical camps were held for women from police families residing in Shivajinagar Police Colony and Swargate Police Colony. An impressive participation of nearly 400 police families marked these medical screenings. The subsequent medical reports underwent thorough analysis by esteemed medical professionals from Ruby Hall Clinic. Consequently, participants received comprehensive medical evaluations, guidance, and, when necessary, prescribed medication.

The event was graced by the presence of Anupriya Kumar, wife of the Police Commissioner, Priya Karnik, wife of the Joint Commissioner of Police, and notable medical professionals including Dr. Swati Pokale, Dr. Surekha Chavriya, Rupali Zende, Tejshree Pawar, Dr. Tejshree Ranade, and Dr. Prasad Muglikar from Ruby Hall Clinic, who led the medical services.

The collective effort included the involvement of Prabhakar Srivastava, General Manager of Human Resources, Hrishikesh Khandve, General Manager of Marketing, Dr. Rashmi Bhamre, Gynaecologist, Dr. Debashish Desai, Infectious Disease Specialist, along with their respective teams and technicians. Dr. Raut, Dr. Deshpande, and Dr. Kshirsagar led teams from Shivajinagar Police Hospital, while Dr. Jagdale and her team represented Swargate Police Hospital. Organizations such as Hope for Children Foundation, represented by Caroline and her team, and Muskan team led by Shubda Ranadive, extended their dedicated support. Notable police officers including Senior Police Inspector Anita More and Sangita Jadhav from the Bharosa Cell, Senior Police Inspector at Koregaon Park Police Station Nilima Pawar, Police Inspector (Crime) at Market Yard Police Station Swapnali Shinde, and other respected officers and officials also graced the occasion with their presence.

The “Arogyavati Bhava” initiative, driven by the Pune City Police Commissionerate, aims to uplift and educate the women within their community, delivering the crucial message that their health and well-being are of paramount importance. Through such initiatives, the police department seeks to empower women and create a healthier, more informed society.
