Pune: Balaji Nagar Resident Faces Police Complaint in Alleged Molestation and Issuing Death Threat Charges

Pune: A 19-year-old girl living in the Balaji Nagar area filed a complaint of molestation, forceful intimidation, and issuing death threats yesterday. A complaint was filed at Sahakar Nagar police station.

The victim girl resides in the Balaji Nagar area and is acquainted with the accused. They both reside in the same area. According to the complaint, one day, at 12.30 in the night, the accused suddenly knocked on the victim’s door.

When the victim girl opened the door, the accused, identified as Ashish alias Papya, grabbed her hand tightly and appallingly asked her for physical pleasures. Being extremely distressed by the incident, the girl shouted loudly, but in the meantime, the accused fled from the scene.

After a few days, the accused again targeted the victim girl, stopping her on the road while she was returning from the office. This time too, the accused asked her to get into a relationship with him, which the girl outright rejected. Enraged by this, the accused menacingly issued a death threat, saying he would harm her parents.

This time, the girl promptly registered a police complaint against the accused at Sahakar Nagar police station. Accordingly, police booked the accused under Indian Penal Codes 354, 323, and 506. Further investigation is being conducted by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Pothare.
