Pune: Ayurveda Proves Effective in Treating Chronic Liver Disease, Research Presented at International Forum

Pune, 1st July 2023: A remarkable breakthrough in the treatment of chronic liver disease has been achieved through Ayurveda. A 42-year-old woman from Pune who was diagnosed with “Budd-Chiari Syndrome,” a rare liver disease caused by blood clots blocking the liver’s blood vessels, has successfully recovered without the need for liver transplantation. This groundbreaking treatment approach has gained international recognition, as a research paper documenting the case was presented at a prestigious international forum.

Budd-Chiari Syndrome is a life-threatening liver disorder, and patients often face limited treatment options, with surgery or liver transplantation being the common recommendations based on disease severity. In this particular case, the patient’s condition had worsened, making surgery the only viable option. However, due to personal reasons and physical limitations, surgery was not feasible for the patient.

Seeking alternative treatment options, the patient decided to explore Ayurveda. In 2017, she visited Rasayu Ayurveda Clinic and initiated her treatment under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh Bendale and Dr. Ketaki Jagtap. The patient received a holistic Ayurvedic treatment regimen, which included scientifically formulated herbo-mineral Ayurvedic medicines.

The treatment approach at Rasayu Ayurveda Clinic combined the principles of Ayurveda with periodic evaluation based on modern medical standards. After approximately one month of treatment, significant improvements in symptoms were observed. The patient continued the Ayurvedic treatment under medical supervision for three years. At the end of this period, the patient’s condition showed remarkable clinical improvement, and all blood clots had completely disappeared, eliminating the need for a liver transplant.

The successful outcome of this case prompted Rasayu Ayurveda Clinic to publish a research paper on the treatment approach in the esteemed peer-reviewed research journal “Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine” in the United States. This publication highlights the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment for chronic liver diseases and makes valuable information available to patients, medical experts, physicians, and researchers in the field. Additionally, it contributes to the international recognition and acceptance of Ayurveda as a scientific and evidence-based medical system.

Dr. Yogesh Bendale, founder of Rasayu Ayurveda Clinic, emphasized the importance of scientific validation and research in Ayurveda. He stated, “Ayurvedic medicines are often questioned regarding their safety and efficacy. At Rasayu Ayurveda Clinic, we are committed to presenting scientific research papers and evidence-based studies to address these concerns. By sharing our findings at international forums, we aim to establish the scientific credibility of Ayurveda and promote its global acceptance.”

The successful treatment of this chronic liver disease through Ayurveda not only brings hope to patients with limited conventional treatment options but also sheds light on the potential of Ayurveda in addressing various chronic illnesses. The efforts of Rasayu Ayurveda Clinic in combining ancient wisdom with modern scientific standards pave the way for a greater understanding and acceptance of Ayurveda as a valuable healthcare system on a global scale.
