In a determined effort to curb unauthorized construction, the Building Development Department of Pune Municipal Corporation in Zone 6 took swift action at Hotel Vaishali and Queen’s Shop on F C Road in the Shivajinagar area of Pune. This operation resulted in the demolition of approximately 3500 square feet of unauthorized construction, which included sheds constructed from materials such as bamboo, paper, iron angles, and other materials.

The enforcement team meticulously removed all unauthorized sheds, including those on the terrace of Vaishali Hotel. The operation even involved cutting movable sheds using gas cutters.

The operation was executed under the guidance of Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde, with Deputy Engineer Sunil Kadam, Branch Engineer Rahul Rasale, Junior Engineer Samir Gadhai, and the assistance of ten laborers. A dedicated police team also played a crucial role in ensuring the operation’s smooth execution.

Deputy Engineer Sunil Kadam emphasized that this action is part of an ongoing effort to address unauthorized construction issues in the city. He further stated that the authorities are committed to maintaining the city’s urban planning regulations. To deter further violations, it was announced that if any of the demolished sheds are re-erected, legal action will be taken against the responsible parties.
