Pune: Anti-Narcotics Squad Apprehends Foreign Smuggler, Seizes Cocaine

Pune, 14th July 2023: The Anti-Narcotics Squad has successfully apprehended a foreign smuggler involved in the illicit sale of cocaine. The arrest took place within the Vishrantwadi police station limits, where law enforcement officials confiscated six grams of cocaine with an estimated value of 1 lakh 20 thousand.

During routine patrols, police officers Sandeep Shirke and Pravin Uttekar received crucial information regarding the presence of cocaine smugglers in the area. Swiftly acting on the tip-off, the anti-narcotics squad identified a foreign national by the name of Patrick Amos, also known as Bora (39), openly engaging in the sale of cocaine to known individuals on the road in front of the Bombay Sappers on Alandi Road.

As a result of the operation, the police seized six grams of cocaine, along with three mobile phones, a two-wheeler, a passport, an identity card, a bank passbook, and other related items from Amos, who is a citizen of South Africa.
