Pune: An Unfortunate Incident! Boy Electrocuted While Removing Hoarding

Pune: Tragedy struck in Rohitra when a 15-year-old boy lost his life due to an electric accident. Ankush Khandu Bansode was electrocuted when he climbed an electricity pole to remove a hoarding near the Anand Park bus stand. The incident occurred on April 24, and despite receiving medical treatment, Ankush unfortunately passed away on July 16.

The preliminary inspection conducted by the electricity inspector department revealed that the accident occurred due to contact with an 11 KV line. The incident has raised concerns about the safety measures in place to prevent such accidents.

Following the incident, the state government’s electricity inspector department conducted a thorough investigation of the site. Their report will play a crucial role in determining further actions to be taken by Mahavitran, the state electricity distribution company.
