BigRock Motorsport Dominates Inaugural Race of CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League in Pune

Pune: The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) kicked off its first race at Pune, witnessing an overwhelming response from the crowd, with BigRock Motorsport leading the way in the inaugural event.

Jordi Tixier of BB RACING from France claimed victory in the 450 cc international race riding the Honda, setting the stage for an electrifying start to the league. Australian racer Reid Taylor of BigRock Motorsport dominated the 250 cc international race riding the Kawasaki, securing another win for the team. Thanarat Penjan from Thailand, also riding for BigRock Motorsport on a Kawasaki, triumphed in the 250 cc India Asia Mix category, adding another victory to the team’s impressive performance.

The surprise podium sweep by BigRock Motorsport across all categories showcased their dominance in the first CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League, a franchise-based Supercross competition. The event featured a stellar lineup of international champions and emerging Indian stars competing in the 450cc international riders, 250cc international riders, 250cc India-Asia mix, and the fiercely competitive 85cc junior class.

Veer Patel, Co-founder and Director of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League, expressed his excitement, stating, “The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League will establish India as the focal point for Supercross for the world. We appreciate the strong participation and grit to win the race by all individuals. We congratulate the winners and the teams for their amazing participation.”

With the Pune event attracting 10,000 spectators at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, the action will now move to Ahmedabad on February 11 at the EKA Arena, Transstadia. The league’s final event is scheduled at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on February 25, 2024.
