Pune: Abhisar Foundation’s Annual Day Celebration Lights up Wakad

Wakad : The Abhisar Foundation, a school dedicated to differently-abled children, marked a joyous celebration during its Annual Day program, showcasing the exceptional talents of its students.

The event, graced by distinguished guests, saw Shraddha Shah, President of Lions Club, Sahakar Nagar, Pune, and Amol Dapurkar from Lions Club, Rahatni, Pune, as the chief guests. The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment that education brings.

The presence of key figures including Vikas Jagtap (teachers’ representative), Shrusti Aadhav (students’ representative), Yungdhara Burve, Shraddha Jadhav (parents’ representatives), Secretary Ramesh Musudge, and Satish Ingade (vice president) added prestige to the occasion.

Prithviraj Ingade, a specially-abled student of the foundation, opened the program with a soulful Ganesh Vandana. The subsequent performances featured a medley of songs, including “Chook Chook Gadi,” “Lakdi Ki Kathi,” and “Galtise Mistake,” choreographed by talented teachers Vaishali Khedekar, Bhagyashri Kapse, and Hande madam.

The audience was captivated by the Djembe music played by Omkar Tarde and enthralled by the dance performance of Vishwa Kamle on the song “Jay Malhar.” A highlight of the evening was a Sports-themed fashion show, skillfully presented by differently-abled students under the guidance of Vikas Jagtap and Hrishikesh Musudge.

The pinnacle of the event was the presentation of awards and trophies by the esteemed guests, recognizing the outstanding achievements of students throughout the year. Shraddha Shah acknowledged the collective efforts of parents, students, and teachers, while Amol Dapurkar highlighted the enduring collaboration between Lions Club, Rahatni, and Abhisar Foundation.

Kinnari Shah, Head of the Department, commended the dedication of the staff and provided insights into the Annual Report of Abhisar Foundation. The event was expertly hosted by Hande and Khedekar, with prize distribution handled by Kapse.

The success of the Annual Day celebration was attributed to the hard work of the support staff, including Keshav Parkhi (accountant) and members of the school committee – Balwadkar, Yogesh Dada, Gopi Dada, Kunal Dada, Mayur Dada, Marne Mausi, and Kambde Mausi.

The Abhisar Foundation’s Annual Day was not just a celebration of achievements but a testament to the inclusive spirit and collaborative efforts that make a difference in the lives of differently-abled children.
