PMPML’s Metro Feeder Buses Revolutionize Pune’s Commute, Airport Feeder Service on the Horizon

The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has been met with an overwhelming response to its metro feeder bus service, making it a game-changer for the daily commute in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The service has become a lifeline for local residents, offering them a convenient and efficient means to access metro stations and get around the city. The success of this service is evident in the impressive statistics shared by PMPML.

Due to the growing demand for these feeder buses, PMPML has bolstered its fleet, with 26 buses now in operation. Of these, 22 buses depart from the Pune Metro station, while 4 buses serve the Pimpri-Chinchwad section.

In a recent development announced on October 11, 2023, PMPML made changes to the route of Metro Shuttle Bus No. 37. This bus will now operate between Pimpri Metro Station and Akurdi Railway Station, providing even more accessibility to commuters.

The response to the metro feeder service has been so positive that PMPML is taking the initiative to introduce an airport feeder service, connecting the Ramwadi Metro Station to Pune Airport. What’s more, this new service will feature eco-friendly electric buses with a frequency of every 15 minutes, ensuring both convenience and sustainability.

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the commuting experience, PMPML strongly encourages commuters to take advantage of the feeder bus service. It promises to make your daily transit smoother and more hassle-free.
