Pimple Saudagar, 13th August 2023: A case of theft involving valuable mobile tower equipment belonging to VI (Vodafone Idea) has surfaced in Pimple Saudagar, prompting the Pimpri Chinchwad Police to initiate a comprehensive investigation. The incident has led to the registration of a case at the Sangvi Police Station, with authorities working diligently to identify and apprehend the unknown perpetrator.
The incident, as detailed in the official complaint submitted to the police, transpired at a mobile tower owned by VI located on Kunal Icon Road in Pimple Saudagar. The unidentified individual responsible for the theft made off with essential components, including a 2G Card, four 5G Cards, and three units of RRU, collectively valued at Rs 1.85 lakh. The theft occurred on a Friday evening, leaving the company’s staff to grapple with the repercussions.
VI swiftly reported the theft to the authorities, and an employee of the company lodged a formal complaint with the police, detailing the stolen equipment and the circumstances surrounding the incident. In response, the police have invoked Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to theft, and have commenced a thorough investigation to identify and bring the culprit to justice.
