NRAI Pune Chapter Elevates F&B Startups with Mentorship and Community Building

Pune, October 13, 2023 – The National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) Pune Chapter celebrated a triumphant day as it successfully concluded the ‘Elevate’ Mentorship Program and ‘How to Build a Community with Sonia Agarwal Konjeti’ event at One Lounge, Koregaon Park, Pune. Presented by DotPe, this event has left an indelible mark on Pune’s vibrant food and beverage startup scene.

The event, spanning an entire day, began with the “Elevate: Mentorship for Emerging Brands” program. This segment offered startups a unique opportunity to glean wisdom from seasoned mentors within the food and beverage industry. Featuring one-on-one mentoring sessions, roundtable discussions, and ample networking prospects, this initiative provided a fertile ground for enriching experiences. The program ran from 2 pm to 6 pm, setting the stage for Sonia Konjeti’s session at 7:30 pm.

The day commenced with a thought-provoking first session featuring distinguished speakers who generously shared their insights with the audience:

1. “Financial Wisdom” by Shrijith Ravindran:

  • Explored financial ratios, including Stock Turnover Ratio, Total Employee Cost, and the ideal Current Assets to Current Liabilities ratio.
  • Advised against depleting owner funds for business setup, instead recommending the use of borrowed funds for loss-making ventures.

2. “Marketing Strategies” by Mansi Pardeshi:

  • Emphasized the importance of building a business with sustainability for at least 1000 days.
  • Highlighted the necessity of establishing an online presence, active engagement on social media, and credibility across platforms.

3. “Cultivating a Vibrant Culture” by Sailee Jahagirdar:

  • Advocated for a positive employee experience that translates into a high guest experience.
  • Discussed strategies for nurturing a healthy work culture, contributing to employee satisfaction and fostering customer loyalty.

In the second session, Sonia Agarwal Konjeti took the stage to share insights into community building. She remarked, “Communities flourish when rooted in trust, shared values, and positive experiences. The success of ‘PULA Pune Ladies’ can be attributed to the genuine connections formed among its members.”

Attendees expressed gratitude for the wealth of knowledge shared during the sessions. They praised the diverse array of topics covered by industry experts and viewed the event’s success as a testament to Pune’s entrepreneurial spirit in the Food and Beverage sector.
