In a significant development for Pune Smart City, Shri. Karthikeyan S., an Indian Administrative Services (I.A.S.) officer from the 2020 batch, officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on Saturday, February 24th, 2024. He succeeds Dr. Sanjay Kolte, also of the I.A.S., in steering the Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd. towards new horizons.
Shri. Karthikeyan brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to his new role, having previously served as the Project Officer at the Integrated Tribal Development Project in Kinwat, Nanded. Notably, he is a chartered accountant by profession, adding financial acumen to his administrative capabilities.
Upon taking charge, Shri. Karthikeyan outlined his vision for Pune Smart City, expressing his commitment to propel it forward as a model of urban development and innovation. His goal is to set a benchmark for smart cities nationwide, emphasizing sustainability and cutting-edge solutions.
The transition ceremony, held in the presence of key officials, witnessed the support of Smt. Ulka Kalaskar, Chief Finance Officer of Pune Smart City, and Joint Commissioner of Accounts and Finance Officer at Pune Municipal Corporation. Also present were Pune Smart City’s Chief Knowledge Officer, Shri. Dinesh Virkar, along with Company Secretary Shri. Swanand Shede, Deputy Engineer Shri. Borse, Junior Engineers, and other officers and employees.
With a dedicated team and a clear vision, Shri. Karthikeyan is poised to lead Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd. towards greater heights of success, innovation, and sustainability.
