Mumbai Pune Expressway Upgrade: 2-Hour Block for Gantry Installation on January 30

In a proactive move to enhance the Highway Traffic Management System, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has scheduled a crucial upgrade for the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway, popularly known as the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The installation of a gantry at kilometre 63.000 on the Pune channel is set to take place on January 30, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, necessitating a temporary closure for all types of vehicles, including light and heavy, heading towards Pune.

Temporary Closure:

  • All vehicles heading towards Pune on the expressway will face a temporary closure during the installation period.

Alternative Routes:

  • Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes.
  • Light vehicles from Mumbai to Pune will be redirected from Kusgaon Toll Naka at kilometre 54.400 to Pune Channel on National Highway No. 48, utilizing the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway.
