Multi-Lakh Rupee Fraud Disclosed: Pune Man Falls Prey To Fictitious PMRDA Certificates

Pune Crime News

Pune: In Pune’s Dhankawadi area, a 66-year-old, Mukteshwar Babasaheb Jadhav, has been defrauded of a staggering Rs 57 lakh in a deceptive property deal. The Sinhagad Road Police have registered a case against the alleged perpetrators, Ramesh Nagarkar and Amol Nagarkar, residents of Swami Ganesh Villa, Jadhavnagar, Vadgaon Budruk Pune, invoking sections 420, 465, 468, 471, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The duplicitous scheme unfolded at Audumber Heights in Dhankawadi, spanning from January 2021 to the present day. According to the complaint filed by Jadhav, the accused enticed him with the promise of selling a shop and two flats in Audumber Heights. The fraudulent duo, Ramesh and Amol Nagarkar, allegedly hatched a plan to fabricate bogus PMRDA Occupancy Certificates, masquerading them as authentic documents.

Under the guise of legitimacy, the accused orchestrated the creation of a purchasing agreement for one shop alongside an earnest money deposit for a flat. To further strengthen their deceitful acts, agreements for the remaining flat were also notarized. A substantial sum of Rs 57 lakh was then extracted from Jadhav through checks and online transfers made in the name of “Vishnupriya Promoters and Builders.”

However, later it was revealed that, post-payment, the accused betrayed both the plaintiff and the government by selling the flat to an individual named Asaram Tribhuvan, leaving Jadhav empty-handed.

The Assistant Police Inspector, Yadav, is conducting further investigation into this embezzlement.
