MSEDCL Electrifies the Field: Triumph at All India Electricity Sports Competition

In a remarkable display of sporting prowess, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) soared to victory at the 45th All India Board of Control for Electric Sports outdoor competition held in Patiala, Punjab. Under the guidance of Lokesh Chandra, Chairman and Managing Director of MSEDCL, the team clinched the prestigious overall title.

Dazzling Performances

The competition, hosted by the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd on October 13 and 14, witnessed astounding performances by the MSEDCL team, who secured an impressive collection of five gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.

Gulab Singh Vasave’s Triple Triumph

Gulab Singh Vasave, representing MSEDCL, emerged as a standout performer, clinching three gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and 400m hurdles events. His exceptional speed and agility showcased a remarkable display of talent.

Other Gold Medal Achievements

Joining the gold medal club, Sachin Chavan secured victory in the javelin throw, demonstrating precision and strength. Praveen Borawke exhibited his prowess in the shot put, adding more gold to MSEDCL’s impressive medal count.

Relay Team Excellence

MSEDCL’s relay teams also delivered exceptional performances. The 4×100 relay team, composed of Gulab Singh Vasave, Sambhaji Jadhav, Sainath Masane, and Shubham Nimbalkar, secured a well-deserved silver medal. Another relay team, featuring Gulab Singh Vasave, Vijay Bhare, Shubham Nimbalkar, and Pradeep Vanjari, earned silver medals in the 4×400 relay event. Vijay Bhare showcased his running prowess with a silver medal in the 400m event.

Bronze Medal Achievements

The MSEDCL team continued to shine with strong performances, resulting in multiple bronze medals. Hanmant Kadam excelled in the hammer throw event, while Sainath Masane’s speed earned him a bronze medal in the 100m run. Hanmant Kadam showcased his skills in the shot put, and Sainath Masane secured silver in the 110m hurdles. Somnath Kanthikar’s remarkable jump secured a silver medal in the long jump event.

Expert Coaching and Management

The 17-member MSEDCL team received expert coaching from Pratik Waikar, with the team skillfully managed by Deputy Chief Industrial Relations Officer Srikrishna Vaidande. The outstanding performance of MSEDCL at the All India Electricity Sports Control Board Competition reflects the organization’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
