Maratha Movement in Full Swing: Jarange Patil Gears Up for Massive Kharadi Gathering

Manoj Jarange Patil, a prominent leader in the Maratha reservation movement, is poised to address a significant public meeting in Kharadi on November 20th. The event, scheduled at Mahalaxmi Lawns or an alternative venue in Kharadi at 10 am, is projected to draw a massive crowd of approximately one lakh members from the Maratha community. Sachin Satpute, a member of the Maratha Samaj Movement Committee, shared event details during a press conference, outlining the preparations for the gathering.

Fanning the Flames of Maratha Reservation Movement

Building on the momentum from the second phase of meetings in Khed, Baramati, and Indapur in Pune district, Jarange Patil’s upcoming meeting in Kharadi aims to further strengthen the Maratha reservation movement. The primary demand revolves around issuing Kunbi certificates to the Maratha community, ensuring corresponding reservations.

Organizers have assured meticulous planning for the event, encompassing open stages, accommodation facilities, parking provisions, water supply, mobile sanitation, and on-site health services for all attendees. With expectations of a turnout exceeding one lakh members, the preparations aim to cater comprehensively to the needs of the expansive gathering.

Jarange Patil’s Ongoing Advocacy for Maratha Reservation

Jarange Patil has been a vocal advocate for Maratha community reservation. Initially setting a one-month deadline in the first phase of the movement, he extended it to 40 days. The government’s failure to meet this deadline prompted Jarange Patil to escalate his efforts. Subsequently, the government granted a two-month deadline, leading to Jarange Patil’s ongoing statewide campaign to press for Maratha reservation.
