Mahayuti Women Launch Door-to-Door Campaign to Inform Voters about Government Schemes

Central and state government initiatives to be conveyed to constituents through grassroots engagement

In a concerted effort to engage with voters and disseminate information about government schemes, women leaders within the Mahayuti coalition have initiated a door-to-door campaign across Pune. The campaign aims to educate voters about various central and state government schemes, with a particular focus on women-centric policies.

During a general meeting of women office bearers from constituent parties, Chandrakant Patil, communicating remotely, emphasized the importance of highlighting the state government’s decision to include the mother’s name alongside the father’s name in official documents. He underscored the successful implementation of central government schemes for women and stressed the need to prioritize development issues during the campaign.

Muralidhar Mohol, the Pune Lok Sabha candidate of Mahayuti, urged women to take charge of the campaign, emphasizing the importance of independent grassroots engagement. He encouraged them to personally visit voters’ homes to convey information about government initiatives. Mohol expressed confidence in the unity of the alliance and optimism about the upcoming elections.

MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni highlighted the prevailing “Modi wave” across the country and emphasized the unique ability of the Mahayuti coalition to effectively communicate the government’s policies to voters. She emphasized the importance of addressing various women-related issues, including the safety of women in Pune and empowerment initiatives for self-help groups and domestic workers.

Deepak Mankar, City President of the Nationalist Congress Party, rallied women to work diligently towards victory, urging them to strive for record voter turnout. He expressed confidence in the transformative power of women in effecting change through the electoral process.

Following the guidance of party leaders, women leaders from various parties within the Mahayuti coalition outlined the direction of the campaign. They discussed key government schemes to be highlighted during the outreach efforts, including the Ujjwala Gas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and legislative measures such as the criminalization of triple talaq.
