The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has taken a significant leap towards modernization by introducing an online system for recording practical examination marks for class 10th and 12th students. In a circular released by Anuradha Oak, the secretary of the Maharashtra State Board, it was announced that practical, oral, and internal evaluation marks will now be submitted through an online portal.
The circular provides detailed instructions for schools and junior colleges on how to navigate the process of submitting practical examination marks online. The state board’s website will feature a dedicated ‘Practical Mark and Grade’ link, acting as the gateway for this purpose.
Given that the 10th and 12th exams are scheduled for February-March, the decision to implement an online system for scoring practical, oral, and internal assessment marks aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the evaluation process.
Moreover, an ‘out of turn’ examination has been introduced following the written examination. This provision is designed for students who have completed the assessment examination under the practical oral category during the regular period. The seat numbers of absent students during the regular period will be communicated to the respective junior colleges and schools for the ‘out of turn’ examination, and their marks also need to be recorded online.
