Law in Action: Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College Students Gain Practical Wisdom in Court Visit

In a bid to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, law students from Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College recently undertook a visit to the District and Sessions Court in Pune. Organized by the Law College, this educational initiative aimed to provide students with a firsthand experience of the inner workings of trial courts, offering insights into daily activities and the intricate processes involved in court proceedings.

Accompanied and guided by seasoned legal professional Adv. Mangesh Kharabe, the students embarked on a unique educational journey to gain practical insights into the legal system. The primary goal was to familiarize them with legal procedures, case filing intricacies, and the administrative, official, and judicial functions of the court.

To ensure a comprehensive experience, the students were divided into groups, enabling them to observe bail matters, arguments, and various other proceedings during the afternoon sessions. This hands-on approach allowed them to witness the dynamics of a court in action, fostering a deeper understanding of legal practices.

Post the visit, the students were assigned the task of creating a field report and a project centered around the theme of “Acquaintance of Court and Procedure.” This practical assignment is designed to provide them with a meaningful understanding of the real-world application of legal theories and procedures.
