Kondhwa Residents Urge PMC and Police Collaboration to Tackle Civic Issues

Kondhwa residents, represented by the Akhil Naagrik Ekta Manch, have appealed to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pune City Police, and Pune Traffic Police to convene a joint meeting and collectively address various civic issues plaguing the locality. The issues range from heavy vehicle movement restrictions to road development, time restrictions for hoteliers, encroachments, traffic concerns, amenity space usage, and more.

Chhabil Patel, Founder & President of Akhil Naagarik Ekta Manch, highlighted the pressing issues faced by Kondhwa residents. He emphasized the need for concrete action on concerns such as heavy vehicle movement, roadside encroachments, and the rapid transfer of police personnel affecting development works.

Patel stated, “For the discussion and resolution of various kinds of issues, a meeting must be conducted immediately, consisting of PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar, representatives from departments handling encroachments and roads, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, and his entire team.”

According to Akhil Naagrik Ekta Manch, decisions regarding planning and issue resolution require collaboration between the police and PMC. It is anticipated that a meeting will take place within 2-4 days at Kondhwa Police Station, with the presence of both Commissioners.

  6. Increase in the fleet of city police, traffic police, and special police presence.
