Pune: In a notable internal administrative reshuffle on the backdrop of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the police commissioner, Ritesh Kumar, transferred two deputy commissioners of police internally. The Police Commissioner confirmed these transfers through an official notification issued on Saturday in this regard.
In a transfer order issued by police commissioner Ritesh Kumar, he appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Traffic Branch, Vijayakumar Magar, to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Zone 4, which was earlier held by Shashikant Borate.
Similarly, he appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-4, Shashikant Borate, as Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Branch. It has been learned that these internal transfers have been made, keeping the upcoming Lok Sabha election in sight.
