In a significant initiative to foster innovation and creativity, the ‘Innovate You Techathon 2024,’ a national-level hackathon, is set to unfold in Pune this February. Organized by the Innovation Foundation, accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), this event promises to be a platform for students to showcase their inventive ideas. The hackathon, taking place at the AISSM’s Institute of Information Technology, is expected to offer prizes exceeding four lakhs.

Kalpesh Yadav, President of the Innovation Foundation, unveiled the competition’s objectives, emphasizing its role as a catalyst for students in Maharashtra to unleash their innovative potential.

The official poster of the event was revealed by Dr. T.G. Sitaraman, Chairman of AICTE, at their main office in Delhi.

Participants in the hackathon will be tasked with addressing key societal challenges through technological solutions, spanning agriculture, transportation, environment, education, and healthcare. Yadav highlighted the enticing rewards for the winning students and assured accommodation facilities for participants.

Dr. Pradeep Mane, Principal of the AISSM’s Institute of Information Technology, encouraged aspiring students across the country to participate in this hackathon, emphasizing its openness to engineering students nationwide.

Registration is available online through the innovateyou.in website.

Cash prizes await the winners, with the first-place recipient securing two lakh rupees. Second place earns one lakh, third place receives 75,000, and outstanding participants garner consolation prizes of 25,000 rupees each.

Yadav, leading the Innovation Foundation, aims to establish a prestigious institute for Maharashtra’s students through collaboration with prominent institutions. The foundation’s commitment to financially supporting rural projects underscores its dedication to fostering innovation in these areas. Despite a comparatively lower number of hackathons organized in Maharashtra, this competition presents ample sponsorship opportunities. Yadav expressed the foundation’s readiness to provide financial assistance to innovative rural projects.
