Pune, 4th August 2023: In a significant development, the Pune division of Indian Railways has made a pivotal alteration to the operation of the 12492/12493 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune Express. Commencing from Friday, this train’s route will extend its journey from Miraj Railway Station instead of its previous origin, Pune Railway Station.
This strategic decision marks a change in the train’s origination point, redirecting it to commence its journey from Miraj Railway Station and subsequently run its course. The shift in the starting point reflects the railways’ endeavor to optimize connectivity and enhance travel options for passengers.
Furthermore, in a move to accommodate the growing demand, the railways have augmented the number of coaches on this train. The Nizamuddin-Pune Express will now operate with 22 LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches, signifying an expansion from the previous configuration of 20 coaches. This augmentation includes the incorporation of two additional sleeper coaches, enhancing the overall capacity of the train and aiming to provide a more comfortable travel experience for commuters.
